Meet Our Technical Advisor: My Mom

Most batches have to pass the toughest (and kindest) critic I know—my mom.*
She’s a trained pastry chef. And while she’s not in the kitchen with me every day (she lives in Seattle), she’s the reason I know the difference between good and right.

She helps with flavor checks, honest feedback, and keeping things real.
If a cookie makes it past her? It’s ready.

*Occasionally, I go rogue. She gets a vote, not a veto. It keeps things interesting.

* Occasionally, I go rogue, and a batch makes it past her anyway. It keeps things interesting.

This Cookie Is… was born somewhere between a marketing layoff and a late-night moment of, “Wait… what if I just made cookies instead?”

Not just any cookies — but ones with a little memory baked in.

Flavors that feel familiar in a way you can’t quite place.

Soft centers. Crisp edges. A little nostalgia. A little honesty. And a whole lot of attitude.

Based in Portland, Oregon, this brand is rooted in small-batch, one-of-a-kind (kinda) cookies that don’t pretend to be perfect — because people aren’t either.

Each cookie is crafted with care, clarity, and just enough drama (okay, sometimes a lot of drama).

Each drop is limited — because not everything is supposed to last

Listen, I’m not here to build a cookie empire. Just a little kingdom. One cookie at a time.

Created by Damian.
Still figuring it out. Probably always will be.

But the cookies? They’re getting there.
